And where in the world is it? Here you can read about most of the things you need to know about the festival that you should not miss. See you in Norway this summer!

The Liverpool festival (Liverpool festivalen) is an annual festival in Norway dedicated to supporters of Liverpool FC. The festival is featuring appearances by LFC legends, live music from both Liverpool and other places, and most of all, supporters!
Our festival area is beautifully located nearby Mjøsa, the biggest lake in Norway, and here you can enjoy the nearly 5,000 square meters of Liverpool, outside Liverpool. We have two stages, a good selection of bars, food, several supporters' shops, and more. There is also a special area where children can enjoy some activities. Most events will take place at the festival area, but you can also participate in activities outside the festival area. More about that later.
The Legends
Over the years, the Liverpool Festival in Norway has welcomed several former Liverpool FC players. Some of the notable LFC legends who have appeared includes Sami Hyypiä, Phil Thompson, Dirk Kuyt, John Aldridge, Peter Beardsley, Bruce Grobbelaar, David Fairclough, Didid Hamann, Glen Hysèn, Jan Mølby, Veggard Heggem and more legends
The festival has become a popular destination for Liverpool supporters looking to connect with their football heroes and enjoy the atmosphere of being around other passionate supporters.
We`ve also had the pleasure of spending time with The Voice of Anfield, George Sephton and the granddaughter of Bill Shankly, Karen Elisabeth Gill. And we also had the pleasure of having James Pearce over for the first two years of the festival.

This year you`ll meet and get to know Vladimir Smicer, John Arne Riise, Patrik Berger and Sammy Lee…… and we`ll might surprise you with some more legends. Most of the live interviews will be hosted by our special host from Liverpool, Mr Lee Rogan.
All legends and will be present at the festival area and mingle with the supporters, in addition to meet-and-greets from the stage, where they share stories from their careers, thoughts on the current team, and answer questions. There will also be various competitions, quizzes, and more, where you can win prizes from Liverpool FC and our other partners.
The Music
We claim that we have succeeded in gathering some of the very best supporter bands and LFC troubadours from Liverpool when we present The Ragamuffins, Andy Hodgson and Kieo. These guys create a great atmosphere locally in Liverpool and travel around the world to support fan events. And they`ve all been on stage at our festival before and we know that they`re really looking forward coming back.
In addition, you’ll also get the “Norwegian Scouser” Alek who also have had the pleasure of playing on stages in Liverpool. But there`s more music coming your way, with bands like One Vision who`s one of the best Queen tribute bands in Norway and Bon Scotch who`s definably our favourite band among several band that tributes AC/DC and especially the Bon Scott area. We also spice it up with more bands and troubadours during the three days of celebrating LFC!

What else is happening?
There will be a special Supporters' Dinner on Thursday night. We will mark 20 years since the Miracle of Istanbul and have invited JOHN ARNE RIISE and VLADIMIR SMICER to share their experiences from the magical evening. There will also be musical performances
There was a limit of 60 dinner guests because we want to continue to keep the Supporters Dinner as intimate as possible. We could probably sell double that!
Livergirls ONLY on Saturday at the city’s best outdoor seating, with a view over Mjøsa and the festival area, was very popular last year. During this lunch for female supporters, you will meet Patrik Berger enjoy live music, get goodie bags and sparkling wine. This event is a collaboration with the Official Supporters Club LFC Norway
We also invite you to an English Breakfast at Brygga on both Friday and Saturday. Brygga is located a 3 minutes’ walk from the festival area and it`s as close to Mjøsa as it can get without taking a bath. There will be breakfast for those who are hungry, or if you just like to enjoy something nice in your glass, that’s possible too. It will be a perfect start to the day with live music and hopefully a lake bathed in sunlight.

Is it expensive in Norway?
Well, if you`re travelling from abroad and especially England and Denmark you`ll find our prices quite acceptable because of the low exchange rate of the Norwegian krone nowadays. We must admit that you must accept to pay a bit more for the beer, but if you consider the atmosphere and all the nice people you can hang with, it`s more than acceptable. And the more beers you`re having, the cheaper it gets. That’s incorrect but it feels cheaper for each beer you`re having.
Where is Gjøvik?
We like to say that Gjøvik is the heart of Norway, located just 90 minutes north of Oslo. The distance between Liverpool and the festival area is 720 mi if you`re a bird just flying in a straight line. But if you`re not a bird and might need someone to fly you over, you`re going to Gardermoen (OSL) Airport and jump on a train or bus heading for Gjøvik. We`ll also considering a special travel service from the airport if enough supporters are arriving at almost the same time.
Where to stay?
There are several options for those who need a place to sleep during the festival. Here you will find everything from hotel suites to motorhome parking, cabins and Air BNB. It doesn't have to be expensive to find a place to stay, because you won't be there so much throughout the festival
Tickets
We don’t want to rip anyone off, or more accurately, take your shirt off, but a festival of the scale we’re organizing certainly costs quite a bit to produce. However, we believe we’ve found a reasonable price that most people will think was worth it afterwards! You can choose between a day pass and a three-day pass

Charity
We`ve chosen Jamie Carragher’s 23 Foundation as our charity. We`ve raised money for this charity since we`ve established the festival and will continue doing that during this year’s festival.
We also have an award that we hand out every year to a supporter or an association that has helped make a difference for someone. The money that accompanies the award goes to a good cause or association that the award winner wants. This award is awarded in memory of a good friend, a supporter and a former member of us who makes the festival. He`s name was Kato Jarnang and the award bears his name, The Kato Award
